Slagging me off just because I am an Anglophone is pointless,as racism has caused a lot of trouble, not only in Canada, but also in countries such as New Zealand,Ireland,Northern Ireland,& Zimbabwe.I am aware of the conflict between Anglophones & Francophones in Quebec. It's a shame that the gu...

Nic & Numi, Thank you for your support & understanding.English is now the most commonly spoken language after Mandarin Chinese. I don't know what some members are saying about me in Quebecois-French,but we should focus on why we are here - talking about numismatics, not slagging each other of...

Al, The 25c. notes of the Dominion of Canada are the only notes of these issues that most collectors can afford. The 1923 issues ARE NOT easy to find, whereas, the 1900-dated notes often turn up,especially in the bottom grades. Yes,I do have an example of each of these notes in my own collection. Aidan.

Banknotes of the British Commonwealth - Zimbabwe.

You will be pleased to know that Zimbabwe's highest-denominated note is now the $50,000,000,000 Agro-Cheque,which is still worth nothing in real terms. You can see a link depicting a selection here; http://www.garrysue.net/Zimbabwelinks.htm I've got both the $250,000 & the $750,000 Bearer Cheque...

Territoire Antarctique Britannique/Br. Antarctic Territory.

You will be pleased to know that the British Antarctic Territory (Territoire Antarctique Britannique) has now issued its first medal-coin - a 2 Pounds, which bears the Pobjoy Mint's 'PM' mintmark. You can see it here; http://www.joelscoins.com/new2.htm . It is incorrect to say that this is the first ...

Hugues, Can you please tr...

The Canadian Coinzilla.

Here's a thread that will be of interest to some of you.It is about the famous Coinzilla from Canada - the $1,000,000 gold Maple Leaf bullion medal-coin that was sold for C$3,000,000 each. There were 10 coins reported to have been struck. Tom Michael's numismatic blog has an article about it. Aidan.

JC, I've always regarded any coin & medal-coin that has a mintage of 999,999 coins or less as being scarce. How many collectors of Canadian coins will ever get to see,let alone, own an example of the 1987 Voyageur $1? Not many,I would think. The 1987 Voyageur $1 was intended to have been issued as...

So, Royalist0007 what do you really mean by medal-coin :?: JC JC, Here's a link; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medal-coin . The 1987 Voyageur $1 is a medal-coin,as it was only issued in sets,& the sets were issued at a premium above the face value. The Canadian 1987 set that I picked up for NZ$1...
